When a statutory holiday falls on a Sunday or a company non-working day (typically Saturday), employees receive a paid substitute day on an ordinary working day; the date is set by the sector Joint Committee or the employer. In 2026 this applies to the Assumption (Sat 15 Aug) and All Saints' Day (Sun 01 Nov).
