  2. In addition to these national holidays, the government designates 8 collective-leave (cuti bersama) days that bridge the main holidays in 2026: 16 Feb, 18 Mar, 20, 23 and 24 Mar (around Eid al-Fitr), 15 May, 28 May and 24 Dec. These are widely observed and reduce employees' annual leave entitlement, but are distinct from national holidays.
  3. The Islamic, Hindu and Buddhist holiday dates (Eid, Islamic New Year, Nyepi, Vesak) are fixed for the year by the decree; the Islamic dates are confirmed by decision of the Minister of Religious Affairs. Indonesia applies no Monday substitution when a holiday falls on a weekend.
